Amy is an award-winning, USA Today best-selling Aussie author who has written eighty four contemporary romances in both the traditional and digital markets. She has sold over 3 million books and been nominated for the RITA award - the highest award of distinction in romance fiction in the US - three times. She’s finalled in the Ruby competition, the premier award for romance fiction in Australia five times and won three, as well as being nominated for many Australian Romance Readers Association awards including Favourite Australian Romance Author which she took out in 2020.
She’s been published by Entangled Publishing, Tule Publishing, Harper Collins, Momentum (digital branch of PanMacmillian Australia), Escape Publishing and Harlequin Mills & Boon in both their medical and KISS lines. She has been translated into over twenty international markets including manga. She’s written books in the Bold and The Beautiful franchise, dabbled in self-publishing and co-authored two books with her sister.
In 2019, Amy was given life member status by Romance Writers of Australia, an organisation she has been heavily involved with for over twenty years including two years as President. She is on the organising committee of the Capricorn Coast Writers Festival. She has run a manuscript assessment service, appeared on panels, run workshops for festivals, conferences and has mentored emerging writers for various organisations One of her books was recently selected in the Queensland Writers Centre Adaptable programme to pitch to Australian producers and directors for adaption to film and she has since signed a shopping agreement with Continuance Pictures.
Amy was a registered nurse for 28 years, 21 of those in the paediatric intensive care unit of the Royal Children's Hospital in Brisbane. She has worked in the UK in both adult ICU and CCU. She retired in 2015 to concentrate solely on her writing. So as you can imagine, her medical romances have truly authentic settings.
